Abstract
This study aims to analyze the influence of career development and competencies on employee performance at PT Yamatogomu Indonesia. This study employs a quantitative method with descriptive and confirmatory approaches. The study population consists of 220 employees, while the sample comprises 69 respondents selected using the Slovin algorithm with a 10% margin of error through simple random sampling. Analysis was conducted using SPSS version 26, employing Pearson’s validity test, Cronbach’s Alpha for reliability, assessment of classical assumptions including tests for normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity, as well as multiple linear regression analysis, the coefficient of determination, partial tests (t-tests), and simultaneous tests (f-tests). The results of the study indicate that career development, competencies, and employee performance scored between 236 and 291 in the favorable category. Career development has a partial effect on employee performance, evidenced by a significance value of 0.000 (less than 0.05) and a t-value of 6.160 (greater than 1.996). Competence also has a partial effect on employee performance, with a significance value of 0.000 (less than 0.05) and a t-value of 7.152 (greater than 1.996). In addition, career development and competencies together demonstrate a significant positive influence on employee performance, as indicated by a p-value of 0.000 (less than 0.05) and an F-value of 1064.173 (greater than the critical F-value of 3.136). The Adjusted R-Square value achieved is 0.970 or 97%, indicating that 3% is influenced by variables outside the scope of this study.
