Abstract

Employee productivity is an important factor in increasing the company's competitiveness, especially in the manufacturing industry. PT Mitoku Rubber Indonesia as a company engaged in seal rubber for the automotive industry needs to optimize employee productivity through the implementation of an effective work culture. This study aims to analyze the influence of kaizen culture and employee participation on employee productivity, both partially and simultaneously. The method used is a quantitative approach with a type of verifiable research, collected through the distribution of questionnaires to 118 employee respondents. Data analysis techniques include multiple linear regression, t-test, F test, and determination coefficient (R²). The results of the study showed that partially kaizen culture had a positive and significant effect on employee productivity with a significance value of 0.005 < 0.05, while employee participation had a positive and significant effect with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Simultaneously, kaizen culture and employee participation had a significant effect on employee productivity with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Determination obtained a score of 67.9% from kaizen culture which was influenced by the variation of kaizen culture and employee participation, while 32.1% was influenced by other variables that were not studied. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of kaizen culture supported by active employee participation is able to optimally increase employee productivity.
