Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of workload and the work environment on employee performance at PT Horiguchi Engineering Indonesia. The research adopts a quantitative approach, utilizing an explanatory survey method involving 93 employees from various departments, such as Project, Machining, Hardchrome, Office, and Security, with the sampling method based on saturated sampling techniques. The collected data were analyzed using multiple linear regression through SPSS software. The research results show that workload has a significant positive influence on employee performance, while the work environment itself does not have a significant impact. However, when the two were considered together, both workload and work environment had a big influence on employee performance, with the determination coefficient reaching 78.7%. This research makes an important contribution to understanding how proper workload management and work environment can improve employee performance, especially in companies operating in the engineering field.
