Abstract

This study was conducted to examine the influence of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) disclosure and company size on the financial performance of manufacturing sector issuers listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2022–2024 period. This study used a quantitative approach with a purposive sampling method, resulting in 102 observations. These observations were analyzed using multiple linear regression, with ESG measurements referring to the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidelines. The results indicate that, partially, environmental disclosure and company size have no effect on financial performance, while social and governance disclosure have a positive effect on financial performance, as proxied by Return on Assets (ROA). However, all variables simultaneously influence financial performance. This study indicates that social and governance aspects are more responsive to the market than environmental aspects, which tend to have long-term impacts.
