Abstract

This study explores the influence of transformational leadership style and digital literacy proficiency on work motivation levels, along with their implications for the performance of educators at the Integrated Islamic Elementary School (SDIT) in Karawang Regency. In an era of increasingly dynamic educational transformation, this study holds strategic relevance for uncovering the contribution of these variables in driving productivity and professional commitment among teachers as they navigate contemporary dynamics. Methodologically, this study adopts a quantitative approach using a survey instrument distributed to 80 teachers, selected via simple random sampling to ensure the validity and representativeness of the sample. Data analysis was conducted using a Partial Least Squares-based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS) approach via the SmartPLS 4 application. Empirical findings indicate a positive and significant relationship between digital literacy and work motivation, affirming the central role of technological competence as a catalyst for teachers’ professional spirit amidst digital disruption. Conversely, transformational leadership style did not show a significant influence on work motivation. Furthermore, testing the overall model revealed no meaningful direct effects of either independent variable on teacher performance. Based on these results, educational institution management is advised to prioritize the development of digital competencies for teaching staff. This approach is essential for strengthening intrinsic motivation, thereby supporting the sustainable maintenance of high performance standards. Optimizing teacher productivity ultimately depends on the synergy between internal motivation and the enhancement of technical capabilities that are adaptable to current learning paradigms.
