Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of workload and burnout on the performance of nurses at Dewi Sri Hospital Karawang. The study uses a quantitative approach with descriptive and verificative methods. The study population consisted of 138 nurses, with a sample of 103 respondents determined using the Slovin formula. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and interviews, and then analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS 26. The results of the study indicate that the workload obtained an average score of 377 (349-431) in the high category, burnout obtained an average score of 338 (267-349) in the moderately high category, and nurse performance obtained an average score of 440 (431-515) in the very high category. Partially, workload has a positive and significant effect on nurse performance with sig. 0.026 < 0.05; t-count 2.253 > t-table 1.984. Burnout has a positive and significant effect on nurse performance with sig. 0.011 < 0.05; t-count 2.587 > t-table 1.984. Simultaneously, workload and burnout have a significant effect on nurse performance with sig.
0.000 < 0.05; F-count 10.411 > F-table 3.087. The coefficient of determination value shows that workload and burnout together explain 17.2% of the variation in nurse performance, while 82.8% is influenced by other variables not studied in this research.
