Abstract

The following study analyzes the influence of work motivation and compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) on employee performance in the Logistics Department at PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (TMMIN) Karawang Plant 3. This study employs a descriptive-verificative design with a population of 62 logistics employees, all of whom were included in the research sample. Data were collected via a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression after meeting the classical assumption tests, validity tests, and reliability tests. The study findings demonstrate that high work motivation and compliance with SOPs positively and significantly influence employee performance. Collectively, these two variables account for 30.3% of the variation in employee performance, underscoring that managing motivation and procedural compliance is crucial for enhancing operational efficiency and quality in the automotive logistics sector. The practical implication of this study is that companies must design employee development strategies that consistently integrate efforts to enhance motivation and adherence to SOPs to achieve optimal and sustainable performance.
