Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effect of workload and work discipline on employee performance at PT. Awi Jaya Indotama. The research problem is based on the company's performance targets not yet achieved and the high level of employee absenteeism. The research method used is a descriptive quantitative method and verification with multiple linear regression analysis. The study population amounted to 60 employees and all were sampled using saturated sampling techniques. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS version 26. The results of the descriptive analysis indicate that workload and work discipline are in the high category, while employee performance is in the fairly good category. The results of the partial test (t-test) of the workload variable have a negative and significant effect on employee performance with a significance value of 0.004 <0.05 and t count - 3.025 > t-table 2.002. Meanwhile, work discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a significance value of 0.028 <0.05 and t count 2.262 > t-table 2.002. The results of the simultaneous test (F test) of workload and work discipline together have a significant effect on employee performance with a significance value of 0.001 < 0.005 and f count 7.852
> f-table 3.159. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.216 indicates that 21.6% of employee performance variation is influenced by workload and work discipline, while 78.4% is influenced by other factors not studied.
