Abstract

This study aims to investigate the influence of competencies and work initiative on employee performance at PT Yamatogomu Indonesia, from both partial and simultaneous perspectives. The data collection methods employed included in-depth interviews and the distribution of questionnaires using simple random sampling—a form of probability sampling—with a sample size of 69 respondents calculated using the Slovin formula. The collected data was then analyzed using SPSS version 22 software with a statistical analysis approach involving multiple linear regression. The statistical findings indicate that competence has a positive and statistically significant impact on employee performance. Similarly, work initiative was also found to have a positive and statistically significant influence. Furthermore, a simultaneous test confirmed that the combination of these two independent variables collectively has a significant effect on performance. As a final conclusion, the development of competencies and work initiative is a top priority for company management in order to achieve highly optimal and sustainable employee performance in the future.
