Abstract
The implementation of outsourcing systems in corporate employment practices is often associated with uncertainty about employee employment status. This condition is characterized by unclear employment contracts and job continuity that depends on the needs of the service provider. This study aims to examine the uncertainty of employment status experienced by outsourced employees and its impact on employee motivation, work experience, work comfort, and performance. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection was conducted through semi-structured interviews with six informants, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted thematically using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model, with triangulation techniques applied to ensure data validity. The results illustrate that uncertainty of employment status is reflected in the absence of written employment contracts, the implementation of daily work systems and Work Orders (SPK), and job continuity that depends on the needs of the service provider. These conditions are associated with anxiety, insecurity, and limitations in long-term life planning. On the other hand, employees maintain a compliant and disciplined work attitude in an effort to maintain job continuity. This study illustrates that uncertainty of employment status is related to the psychological state, work motivation, and performance dynamics of outsourced employees.
