Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Occupational Safety and Health (K3) and the physical work environment on employee performance at PT Kerpa Kerta Jaya Karawang, a construction company with high work risk. The study used a quantitative approach with a survey method on 60 civilian workers through saturated sampling techniques and Likert scale questionnaires; The instrument was declared valid and reliable, and the regression model met classical assumptions, with the results of multiple linear regression analysis showing that K3 and the physical work environment had a positive and significant effect both partially and simultaneously on employee performance, with an equation and a determination coefficient value (R²) of 0.730. K3 has the most dominant influence on employee performance compared to the physical work environment, so increasing financing and occupational health services, equipment completeness, and negligence control are key factors to encourage performance. This study provides empirical evidence that K3 and the physical work environment are strategic elements of human resource management in the construction sector, and can be used as a basis for internal policy-making in designing K3 programs and improving the sustainable physical work environment
